Joomla Banners

I will give a short list of steps for setting up banners. Not all of them are mandatory, but this sequence will allow you to better reveal the potential of this component.

  • Think about the pages and positions on the pages where the banners will be placed.
  • Consider «tariffs» (subscriptions or packages): the price and term for placing different sizes banners on different pages.
  • Describe the rates, conditions and requirements for banners on your website. It's better to include general information about your audience: attendance, demographics, and so on. If you want to minimize publicity, you can specify a way to contact you to receive this information.
  • In Components – Banners – Clients, add a client. I recommend activating Track Impressions and Track Clicks
  • In Components – Banners – Categories, add a category.
  • In Components – Banners – Banners, add a banner (picture below). I recommend activating Track Impressions and Track Clicks
  • In System – Site Modules, add the Banners type module. In the module settings, you can limit the display of banners by term, client and category (if needed). Plus, you can set restrictions on displaying the module on certain pages.
  • In Components – Banners – Tracks, track statistics. It is collected for categories and banners with Track Impressions and Track Clicks options enabled.
